Knowing the F.H.S. alumni who served in the military, both living and dead, is a part of our history. With WWI starting in 1914, it is possible that F.H.S. had some WWI Veterans. Does anyone know whether or not there were any?
Recording the stories of the living and the stories of those who gave their lives for our freedom would be interesting reading for all of us.
If you are a Veteran and an alumnus of Fruitland High School, please send your name, class year, branch of service, years of service, E-mail/snail mail addresses and telephone number to the Web-site. If a member of your family was an F.H.S. Veteran, please send that information to the Web-site.

NEW information for Veterans as 09
Fruitland High School has an enviable history of it's graduates serving their country. I chose (along with 3 other classmates) to enlist in the Navy immediately following graduation in 1958 and served for over 23 years on active duty followed by another 20 years as a civilian. Upon retiring from these two careers, where I was employed counseling and assisting active duty and incarcerated veterans in their respective life goals, I chose to share my 40+ years of experience helping our local veterans.
I currently provide a comprehensive variety of services for veterans and their family members such as: VA health care, Educational, Burial, Disability Compensation, and Widow's Benefits. Serving as the Service Officer of Payette Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 2738, American Legion Post 33 and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 23, and assisting our upper Treasure Valley veterans as Malheur County Veterans Service Officer I am able to provide a personal connection to veterans benefits.
I am more than willing to share what knowledge and experience I have obtained with any FHS veteran or his/her family member regardless of their current location or situation. I can provide telephonic/electronic guidance or referral to local resources within their respective communities or, if feasible, one on one counseling by appointment in my office. Too many veterans and family members are unaware of what is available to them at no charge for the sacrifices they have given our country.
If the above information can be of help to you and your family contact: Denny Croner 10433 Scotch Pines Rd. Payette, ID 83661 PH: H: 208-642-9696 Email: d69croner@aol.com W: 541-889-6649 - Fax: ext. 9539. email: dcroner@malheurco.org
